1. Sagol (or Siagol)



Sagol (also called Siagol) is a traditional food in Sabah Bajau. Gol is a word in Bajau which means a mixture or blend. The food is often cooked with meat bloated fish, Fish or Fish Yu (generally fish with a big heart. Now, catching sharks is prohibited because the fish species that are threatened with extinction). 2. Luster (or Kinilau)

4. Lato '

6. Material

7. chipped (or Tinompeh / roasted / Sianglag)



Chipped or also known as Tinompeh is a food made from cassava. Cassava grated and squeezed the water (called flour 'Essence') will be fried without oil in a frying pan until it yellowish. Often chipped and used for food replacing rice and eaten with dishes such as vegetables and fish. It is also well known among the people of Sulu in Sabah.


8. Bamban (or Bianbam)



Bamban is also a kind of cooked food from flour 'Essence'. 'Essence' cassava is grated and squeezed the water until it becomes as if flour. Bamban prepared by incorporating the flour 'Essence' to the leaves (leaves such as banana leaves or palm tree leaves) and in-steam until cooked. Once cooked, it can be served and eaten with dishes such as vegetables and fish.


9. tayum (Sea Urchin)



Tayum, which is also known as sea urchins, seafood is one that has become a favorite food tradition of the East Coast of Sabah Bajau. It is easy to catch because of the slow movement. But be careful with sharp spines. Tayum are also emptied his way. It contained little colored yellow as saffron. It is delicious eaten alone or served with rice as a side dish.


10. kahanga



Seafood again! Baharu is a traditional Bajau East Coast. Most of the food from East Coast Bajau over to cassava as well as seafood. That's why it is all the food in this list over to seafood and tapioca. Most seafood restaurant in Sabah is providing this food. Her diet is not difficult.   1. Sagol is my brother's favorite food. It is a shark cooking with onions, tamarind juice, ginger and turmeric are the most important. Prior to cooking, the fish at first blanching in hot water, remove sand from the surface of the skin. Already smooth and clean, fresh stir-fry it with onions, ginger, turmeric fully finely crushed. After that put entered the fish and tamarind water.Do not forget to put salt and seasoning powder.The smell a little fishy. If no regular meals, eating this is good.One day after cooking and eating, we save a sagol on the dining table. Unfortunately, when my mother and my father found them, it had to be eaten by a cat.I remember it was bad and must not be eaten again. Actually, that's the way that food smells...by ABDUL RAHMAN
